OliMed follow-up texts
Medical practices use OliMed, made by Olito Labs. A practice that uses OliMed can text you about your care, but only if you agree: on your practice's consent form, or by replying YES to one text that asks your permission.

How you opt in
There are two ways, and either one is enough.
On your practice's consent form
Your practice's intake or consent form, on paper or online, includes this checkbox. It is unchecked until you check it:
Yes, I agree to receive text messages from [Practice] through OliMed, sent by Olito Labs, about my care: follow-ups on care my clinician recommends, reminders to book a visit, and answers to my questions. Up to 4 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Consent is not a condition of receiving care.
By replying YES to one text
Your practice may send one text, only to the mobile number you gave the practice for your care, asking your permission:
[Practice] (OliMed): Hi [first name], this is [Practice]. May our assistant Oli text you about your care? Up to 4 msgs per month. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply YES to agree or STOP to opt out.
We send nothing else unless you reply YES. If you reply YES, you get this confirmation, and then texts about your care:
[Practice] (OliMed): Thank you, you will get texts about your care. Up to 4 msgs per month. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
Your practice and Olito Labs keep a record of your consent: the checked form, or your YES with its date and time. Texts go only to the mobile number you gave. By checking the box or replying YES, you agree to receive texts about your care from your practice through OliMed, sent by Olito Labs. Saying no, or not replying, changes nothing about your care. The permission text and the confirmation count toward the 4 messages a month.
What we text
Follow-ups on care your clinician recommended, such as hearing aids, a medication or a procedure.
Reminders to book a follow-up visit.
Answers to your questions about how to get that care, including payment options your practice offers.
Every text names your practice and OliMed and tells you how to opt out. Texts come only from your own practice. We never send texts for other companies, and we never buy or share phone numbers.

[Practice] (OliMed): Hi [first name], your [medication] prescription renews on [date]. To change or stop it, call [office number]. Reply STOP to opt out.
[Practice] (OliMed): Hi [first name], [Practice] offers [payment program], which may lower your cost for the hearing aids Dr. [Name] recommended. Call [office number] to learn more. Reply STOP to opt out.
Help and stopping
Up to 4 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply HELP for help, or call your practice's office. Reply STOP to stop: you will get one text confirming it, and no more texts from that number. Reply START to opt back in.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy
We use your number and your texts only to send these messages and run the service for your practice. We never sell your mobile number, and we never share your number or your consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
